AUSTIN, TX — Back-to-school planning has already begun in , with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Austin ISD.
The first day of school for most students in Austin is August 17.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Austin.
On Monday, Austin ISD announced it would offer virtual learning options for some kindergarteners through sixth grade this fall.

Austin ISD First Day: Aug. 17
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22-26
Winter Break: Dec. 22-Jan. 4
Spring Break: March 14-18
Last Day: May 27
