LONG VALLEY, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Long Valley and Washington Township, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Washington Township Schools and West Morris Central High School.
The first day of school for most students in Long Valley and Washington Township is Aug. 25 or Sept. 1.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Long Valley and Washington Township.
As of July 30, both Washington Township Schools and West Morris Central High School - part of the West Morris Regional High school District - are awaiting final guidance from the State of New Jersey on in-person school for the majority of students, mask policies and other COVID-related guidance, heading into the 2021-2022 school year.

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26
Winter Break: Dec. 24-31
Spring Break: March 28-Apr. 1, 2022
Last Day: June 16, 2022
West Morris Central High School
First Day: Aug. 25
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26
Winter Break: Dec. 24-31
Spring Break: March 28-Apr. 1, 2022
Last Day: June 9, 2022
