Maintenance Technician As a Maintenance Technician, you'll ensure all aspects of hotel maintenance are kept to the very best standards and in line with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures. You will be responsible for completing all upkeep and routine maintenance of company property and guest spaces, to ensure everything is in top working order. Qualifications Experience in a similar role Problem-solving skills Able to thrive individually and as part of a team Basic math skills Well-organized and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment under pressure Fluent understanding of English Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction Knowledge of preventative maintenance methods and techniques Ability to perform tests to check for normal operation of the hotel's equipment Your Role Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical structure, mechanical, electrical, etc. Take responsibility for the safety aspects of the property Complete maintenance work orders from all departments in a timely manner and according to standard procedures Be available for emergencies and do what is possible to preserve the building and its systems during the emergency, while ensuring the safety of yourself and those around you Contribute to Virtelle's culture by continually promoting a collaborative, proactive, and interactive working environment Know all relevant safety, emergency, and accident procedures Respond to guests and fellow team members' needs promptly and ensure professional, courteous service and communication Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and local legislative requirements Check for new maintenance requests from applicable systems and update once the task is completed Perform maintenance throughout the hotel, including routine plumbing, electrical, hardware and carpentry, and HVAC Requisition parts and supplies as needed Interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other units Perform basic painting and caulking Physical Requirements Operating machinery and/or power tools Bending forward to pull/push/and lift objects Frequent bending/ stooping/ kneeling o Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
