NEWTOWN, PA — With the first phase of renovations at the Newtown Theatre set to begin Monday, the venue plans to sell of its old seats to those wishing to claim a relic of local history. The seats, installed in the 1930s, will be removed from the building on Wednesday, Aug. 4. Members of the public can stop by the theatre from 12 to 4 p.m. to grab seats. Want to win Six Flags Great Adventure Season Passes? Here's how. The theatre is only asking for donations at pickup, in cash or checks made payable to "The Newtown Theatre." There are no single seats: they're all connected to each other in rows, and you may have to take a row of three if you can't separate them onsite. There is no limit to the number of seats you can take. Be the first to know what's happening in your town and area.
