Press release from the Village of La Grange: July 29, 2021 The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District ("MWRD") has advised that they are once again offering low cost rain barrels to all Cook County residents.   The MWRD's rain barrel program promotes local green infrastructure to capture rainwater from roofs and save it for later use, such as watering gardens and flowers.  In order to promote the use of rain barrels, the District is subsidizing 50% of the cost of rain barrels for all Cook County residents and 75% of the cost of the rain barrels for Cook County residents over the age of 65. Rain barrel deliveries can take up to 30 days from the day an order is placed.  If you are interested in ordering a rain barrel, please visit the MWRD's website to place your order.
