WEST ISLIP, NY – A woman was killed in a fire at a West Islip home Friday morning. According to Suffolk police, a 911 caller reported the fire on Udall Road, just south of the Southern State Parkway, at 10:25 p.m. A female resident was pronounced dead at the scene. A firefighter suffered minor injuries, police said. Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating.
