Sierra Pacific West, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Foreman to schedule, coordinate and supervise production and workforce engaged in assigned project tasks, on a single or multiple construction projects This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for overseeing manpower and heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards and safety precautions and awareness. What we are looking for • Minimum of 5 Years’ experience working in heavy civil or similar type construction projects. • Minimum of 5 years’ in management • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction leadership role that requires scheduling and coordination of operation concurrently. You should be very familiar with: • Cut/fill earthwork operations • Reading and interpreting plan sets • Reading and understanding soil reports and project specifications • Safety requirements and best practices • Identify obstacles and provide solutions • Able to train and evaluate new operators • Able to communicate with management staff • Good at communicating and leading others • Able to communicate and coordinate on-site earthmoving equipment *Preferred* • Minimum 5 years of Heavy Equipment Operating Experience • OSHA 30 Card, Current 1st Aid, CPR, AED, BBP Card, Trenching and Excavation Competent Person Certification • Heavy civil work with Caltrans, Public Works, NAVFAC, and US Army Corps • Experience with Trimble GPS systems, Equipment operating, and survey experience • Local candidates, commuting within a close proximity, or ability to relocate to the San Diego area. Base pay range $40/hr - $45/hr
