Our self-motived Shop Coordinator supports our Shop Production Team and Project Management Team through various daily tasks. The prime candidate will have experience welding, working with hand/power tools. a basic understanding of mechanical equipment, electrical components & wiring, shipping & receiving, and tool maintenance. The ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks is a must for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Shipping and Receiving tasks: • Pull and organize equipment and materials for shipping to a job site or loading a vehicle as requested by Project Managers. • Package materials that need to be shipped and obtain shipping labels from Purchasing. • Receive and organize material that arrives daily per ASE procedures. • Unloading vehicles and gang boxes of materials and tooling upon return to shop • Delivering material and tooling to job sites when required. Tooling and Inventory tasks: • Managing field install material cage – organizing, cleaning, and ordering of components stored at the shop. • Manage tool cage - organizing, cleaning, repairing tools, ordering of tools and accessories as needed, and adding tracking #s to new tools. • Manage tool tracking system – recording tool transactions in software and performing periodic audits. • Assisting purchasing with inventory counts and monitoring inventory levels. Production tasks: • Assisting in preassembly of field control devices. • Run engraver to process legend requests from the field teams. • Welding for custom steel bracket orders. • Cutting steel using the Torchmate plasma cutter. • Bending cut steel with bending machine. • Using various tools to prepare steel for powder coating. • Maintain fabrication equipment, consumable parts and materials, and fabrication work area. • Transport brackets to powder coater and pick up. Misc tasks: • Various tasks and projects as requested by management related to the upkeep of the shop • Transport lamps, wire, and metal materials to recycling company as needed. • Running errands for others in the shop
