Description

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce or repair parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. A great machinist needs to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. They must also have brief knowledge of mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions. Duties & Responsibilities: • Tend to machine that punches holes on leather or vinyl • Tend to machine that splits leather • Position articles on mold in machine bed • Position parts against machine guide and under punch • Review samples or instructions to understand specifications of output • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job • Select appropriate machines and position for a job • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues • Check output to ensure consistence with specifications • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages • Safely operate all necessary equipment in work area • Keep work area clean and organized on a daily basis • Abide by all company rules, policies and regulations
