Description
Looking for a rehome for my female doberman. She is 3 years old, 66lbs, spayed, and caught up on her shots. I got her as a rescue her during lockdown last year but have found my apartment is much too small for her. It's not a good fit for either of us.
She is very much a doberman (big "leaner," loves attention and affection, very loyal) and well-behaved at home. She has a large crate she is used to sleeping in and is generally quiet and good at staying home while I am at work. She barks at noises on occasion but nothing you'd be embarrassed about. She loves playing with toys and her favorite is her stuffed tiger. She is a sweetheart and very good with people (she would not make a good guard dog because she loves everyone she meets.) She is good on leash (she uses a harness and is very good about it) and is good about going to the bathroom on-leash.
She does have occasional issues with other dogs (usually loud, small dogs) at the dog park if they are pestering her when she is not receptive. She has had a few incidents in the past where she reacted aggressively but no harm was done so I do keep an eye on her when she is playing. She is also not trained off-leash and will run away (she is obsessed with tracking down squirrels and rabbits) so she must be kept on-leash unless in a fenced-in area. We have been working on training that but she is not ready yet.
She will come with her large crate, dog bed, leash and harness, nail clippers and a dremel, some shampoo, all her favorite toys, food and treats, a food bowl and a special water bowl for spillage (she has big jowls that make her a sloppy drinker sometimes), and a car seat cover.
There will be a $700 adoption fee.
Serious inquiries only. This is a large dog that needs daily exercise/interaction.
