We operate an estate sales service and ”resell company” in the area and have a small retail location and online sales operation. We are looking for a “Reseller at heart” - hard working roll up your sleeves not afraid of dust and vintage/antique items type of person. We are essentially like the American pickers that you see on TV that buy and sell anything of value but we specialize in vintage items, antiques, coins, hoards, collections, old toys, jewelry and more. We help families downsize or liquidate (turn stuff in to cash) by selling contents of homes and personal property. It is hard work. Perfect opportunity to learn about this business while discovering old interesting items. Experience is a plus but not required. Drugs: No thanks!! but 420 is ok just not at work. say no to meth! No hard drugs - if you twitch a lot it better be a condition other than addiction, we don’t like or allow hard drug users around us or our clients property. Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To: 1. lifting and moving boxes, items, merchandise, and junk. 2. Sorting, displaying, cleaning, organizing items to be sold. 3. Photograph items with iPhone or Cellphone, research items/prices when needed. 4. Price/tag/label items for sale 5. Attend and help work estate sales, help shoppers, watch merchandise/property during estate sales. 6. Watch over our shop and complete tasks at our headquarters in vinton. 7. lightly Clean /organize Shop and Items for sale. 8. For the resell savvy make extra cash daily by listing items for sale on FB, CL, Ebay and other places. 9. Act as personal assistant to company principle. Post office runs, supply runs, and more. Extra pay daily and monthly for side gigs always pop up if you need extra cash. Must be presentable (but casual) when meeting clients or working at sales. Our work can get dusty and dirty sometimes… but usually is just inside simple tasks. work is part-time employee and/or contract - full time may be available for the right person. Criminal Background: Yes we check but don’t freak out if its something silly. People with Theft, Fraud, Burglary, and financial crimes are what we don’t consider. We deal with other peoples property and take no chances. Transportation : We work at multiple locations and travel is a must but if you are in a bind and can make it to Vinton we may transport you to job sites. This job may at times require strenuous physical activity lifting heavy objects multiple trips up and down stairs lifting bending and squatting sitting standing cleaning dusting pushing pulling and sometimes doing nothing. knowledge of vintage items or collectibles a plus - the ability to use a mobile device to look up and research items a must.
