We are looking for a committed, diligent, and enthusiastic member to join our mill team! No previous experience required but you must be reliable and willing to learn with a positive attitude. Architectural Woods Inc. was founded in Tacoma, WA in 1957. Since then we have focused on industrial consumers with demands for quality products and incomparable service. In addition to three warehouses, our milling facility produces high caliber custom architectural millwork created with top of the line equipment. Our milling facility boasts state-of-the-art equipment with four moulders, an opti-rip cutting station, a precision profile knife grinder, a uni-rip straight line rip saw, a drum sander, and a profile sander. Job Description • Be able to lift and move pieces of wood weighing 5-30 pounds • Safety Awareness; Follow all safety standards and procedures • Ability to maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks • Controlling operations of equipment or systems, watching to make sure a machine is working properly • Basic math skills (being able to tally units; use calculator) • Attention to detail, quality control • Keep all work areas clean and maintained, removing any leftover or hazardous material during each shift Job Requirements • No formal education required, must be willing to learn • Dependability – Job requires being reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligations • Adaptability/flexibility • Physical dexterity • Able to work in a loud, non-temperature controlled environment
