Operate all equipment safely and responsibly. Maintain vehicle and self in a clean, responsible, and professional manner. 2. To perform daily preventive maintenance and safety procedures on equipment and notify supervisor of any discrepancies, problems, or concerns. 3. Ensure that all types of materials are handled and delivered in a safe and appropriate manner. 4. Ensure consistent customer satisfaction through courteous, professional, accurate, and timely delivery. 5. Interact appropriately with other trades and individuals encountered on the site. 6. Train new personnel as needed. 7. Document and report any material discrepancy, site or delivery damage, or safety issue prior to leaving job. 8. Ensure continuing communication with dispatch at all times to update upon arrival, departure, and change in plans. 9. Establish and maintain good customer relations on the job-site. 10. Provide assistance as needed in loading, counting, and customer interface at the job site and warehouse location. 11. Must be able to work in a wide variety of prevailing outdoor weather conditions throughout all seasons. 12. In addition to the skills and abilities noted above, all delivery driver positions require physical capabilities as identified below. • Heavy lift (explosive strength) – frequent lifting of 100 - 200 pounds, 2-man lifts available. • Repetitive lift (dynamic strength) – continuous lifting throughout work shift. • Push (static strength) – push or slide drywall onto forks, push dollies loaded with drywall. • Pull – slide drywall onto forks, slide metal out of stacks for loading and pull drywall from boom forks. • Carry – up to 200 pounds, sometimes frequently • Amount of time sitting up or standing in place – varies • Twist (dynamic flexibility) – picking up and stacking material and as required to pull material from the boom’s forks. • Stoop or bend – as required to place or lower materials onto the dolly or floor, cleaning up trash • Squat, kneel, or crawl – frequently • Climbing ladders, stairs, equipment – required to get in and out of truck cab and climbing to top of load. • Grasp, finger, feel – grasping when pulling loads and counting small items like nails, screws, etc. • Repetitive motion of hands or wrists – pulling drywall and various other materials • Balance – capable of walking on and tarping tall loads. • Emotional demands – capable of dealing with the public • Stamina – possible long hours and heavy repetitive lifting • Hearing – awareness of equipment, back-up alarms on forklifts, co-workers and customers. • Seeing – reading labels, observing lengths and sized from a distance • Talking – must be able to communicate with customers and fellow workers
