Last resort. Help needed

Hi not really sure how to start this as I have never been in this position before. But long story short I came up here ( columbus) from North Carolina for work ( general contractor). I worked out a deal with a man he was providing housing and weekly pay and I was in charge of fixing up all his properties to get ready for sale. Things went great first 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden he had to go out of town for family emergency stopped answering phone text everything. So short version here I am now on week 5 haven't been paid for 3 weeks have completed 3 houses for him. I have no family no friends to turn to. I am stuck here in the house no money left for gas to go look for a job or food or anything. I'm not asking for a handout as that is not who I am and due to my pride it seems I may have made things worse on myself. But if anyone has any work they need done so I could earn a few dollars to get food and gas etc. It would be greatly appreciated. I can do almost anything painting, drywall,landscaping,finish carpentry,some electrical and plumbing, tile,welding etc. I honestly dont know where to turn or what to do.I'm at the point I'm ready to go hold a sign up like you see people do. But u cant being myself to beg people for money. So if anyone had any work please contact me. I will walk do whatever it takes to come and do the work. If anyone takes the time to read this I really appreciate you doing that much at least. Thank you -matt
