Dark Star Printing & Embroidery has opening for a graphic artist to assist with preparing and generating digital art for printed t-shirts. The position involves using vector editing programs to recreate image files in a format suitable for color separation and screen printing. Applicants would be expected to communicate with customers, taking their art files and ideas and creating usable vector images from their designs. Applicants need some experience with generating vector art (AI, EPS, CDR, etc,) in programs such as Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator. Experience with bitmap editors like Photoshop helps. The position involves little custom art creation from scratch. Usually customers will have a piece of artwork that needs to be cleaned up, tweaked, and or recreated as a vector or raster to make it usable with the rest our process. Will train, but a knowledge of graphics and art programs would be very helpful. We prefer a full time person, but could work around a part-time position. Apply in person. Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:00.
