The Courville at Nashua-Aynsley is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant! We are seeking a committed, self-driven individual who can share their expertise in our communities. Job Summary: Responsible for assisting with all maintenance and repair activities of the facility and grounds. Ensures compliance with all local, state, federal, and safety regulations. Perform cost-effective repairs and prevents problems. Reports to: Director of Maintenance and General Manager Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to understand written and spoken English, able to communicate in writing. Must have general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, interior and exterior repair and maintenance, and fire prevention. Licensure: Valid driver’s license Experience: At least two years experience in maintenance and repair, construction, or equivalent Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodations required by federal, state, and local law. This includes meeting any productivity standards for the position and adherence to all personnel policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Commute with own vehicle to and from work Check daily work requests for facilities and perform repairs needed Complete all facility interior and exterior repair and maintenance requests except those requiring a contract by outside service Be “on-call” for emergencies, rotating schedule Requisition and inventory supplies and equipment for use in the maintenance department Keep a preventative maintenance schedule for all systems and equipment to keep them in proper working condition Shovel, snow blow all sidewalks and emergency exits. Salt or sand as necessary Keep grounds clear of litter and sweep/power wash front and back patios when needed Assist and/or conduct fire drills according to NH State regulations In-service staff on fire prevention Move and transport furniture, equipment, and/or supplies to and from locations within the facility as well as to and from storage sites off-premises Inspect equipment building and grounds regularly for compliance with local, state, federal, and safety regulations Refurbish resident's rooms: paint, clean carpet, repair walls, etc. Identify safety hazards and update hazard communication program regularly Utilize steam cleaner for resident rooms- preventative and as-needed Assist residents moving in/out of community Remove and dispose of trash Housekeeping tasks as assigned Ensure resident safety Work independently on projects assigned by Executive Directors or Maintenance Director Assist with setup/cleanup for special events Continues duties in the absence of Maintenance Director
