Great company is looking for a Diesel Mechanic Manager. Full-time, salary with benefits. Experience and knowledge of the following: * Determines equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts. * Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures. * Corrects deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units. * Verifies equipment performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. * Maintains equipment appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. * Maintains equipment records by annotating services and repairs. * Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. * Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; verifying receipt. * Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * Maintaining a parts inventory. * Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop. The Following are the general requirements for employment: • Pass a pre-employment drug test • Have reliable transportation • Ability to work Monday through Friday and overtime as necessary such as extended workdays and/or occasional Saturdays. • Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds • Organizational and communication skills • Ability to sit or stand, bending, for long periods, handle, and manipulate objects on repetitive basis, requires full range of motion (i.e. bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, extension) • Able to follow safety policies and procedures, ability to identify, report and correct hazards as well as take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects • Able to communicate effectively with all site personnel. • Able to work in a fast-paced growing business environment and not afraid to get dirty other duties may be assigned. • Able to work outside in all weather conditions, and various locations, hard hat and eye protection required. Safety - PPE required includes steel toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles. Pay Rate: DOE This is a full-time position with benefit options.
