Description
I know this is the longest long shot in the world, but someone left a 9-month old border collie mix named Venus at the Paulding County animal shelter on Dec 8, 2008. I adopted her a few weeks later, and she went on to become my best friend in the world for the next 12.5 years. I lost her suddenly to an extremely aggressive cancer a couple weeks ago, and I miss her so incredibly much. She lived a truly extraordinary life- we moved to Colorado 10 years ago and traveled all over the country together. She had such a sweet gentleness and uncanny understanding of human emotion, so she became a therapy dog whose very favorite thing to do was visit elderly patients in nursing homes. She brought so much joy to so many people throughout her life. She was truly a very special soul.
I miss her so much and I want to find out everything I possibly can about her- her parents, siblings, past owner, anything. I know that I'll probably never actually know where she came from, but I figured it was worth sending this out into the universe.
Did you or someone you know leave this sweet girl at the shelter nearly 13 years ago?
