Summary/Objective *The Cleaning Technician position performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas and other building interiors. *Essential Functions *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines. Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Dependability, reliability. *There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. *_Work Environment *_The Cleaning Technician performs their work in a __________ setting. May be responsible for cleaning offices, lobbies, kitchen areas, restrooms, hallways… *Physical Demands *Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team Excellent organizational skills a must Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision *Position Type and Expected Hours of Work *This may be part-time position.
