Accursed is an original melodic death metal band located in Naugatuck, CT that is currently in search of a talented vocalist to complete our lineup. We’ve just finished recording a four song (instrumental only) EP that is being mixed in anticipation of finding the right person to write lyrics and perform vocals on. We each individually have had myriad successes in the music industry and want to expand upon that and continue doing what we love. Our goal is to complete the EP and continue songwriting in order to begin releasing our music through channels that are appropriate to a professional band in this day and age (i.e. releasing singles to streaming platforms, music videos to YouTube, and following that with supporting shows). We have a lot of songs and material in the works, and are excited to begin developing a local following through live performances - clubs, showcases, festivals, etc. Our material is built on the foundation of a driving rhythm section accompanied by thrashy, melodic, death metal guitar riffs and harmonies. We are looking for the right person to serve as our front man who can not only write lyrics, but who add vocals that are unapologetically brutal, melodic, and accessible. As our vocalist, you MUST be able to offer the following: -easy to get along with (we're all pretty laid back) -have good communication skills -no ego -willingness to share your ideas in the creative process towards new material -your own transportation -your own professional gear -commit to practicing once a week and knowing the material -attend practices and gigs in a clean state of mind. (sure, we'll have a few beers at practices/gigs, but will not tolerate alcohol/substance abuse getting in the way of performance or demeanor) If you are interested, please contact us.
