Wanted: Bluegrass Musicians Age 13-18 for Scholarships!

The Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association has established a fund to grant scholarship assistance to qualified youth in the area to further their abilities as they learn to play bluegrass music. Awards must be used by the recipient toward payment for music instruction, either in person or online/video instruction. Payment will be made to the provider. Other efforts to assist young musicians will be announced in early 2022. Applications are now open for youth ages 13-18. The scholarship application can be downloaded on our website at http://smbluegrass.org/scholarships/. The deadline for applications is January 1, 2022. The applications and references will be reviewed by the Association’s scholarship committee, and candidates selected for interviews.
