If "I don't care" was a horse I feel like he would be it. He has been exposed to many sounds and situations and has never spooked or acted stupid (pack of dogs running at him, tarps, lunge whips, fireworks, vehicles, etc). The most I've seen him do is toss his head up at something. He is very quiet and calm! We got him from a kill pen back in March in hopes that he would be a horse our whole family could enjoy to ride. However, that isn't the case. Our vet came out a few weeks ago for something unrelated and noticed it looks like he has an old injury to his front right fetlock (ligament injury). Xrays weren't performed but just at a first glance she said she would limit his riders weight to around 150lbs. He has never been lame on it, doesn't favor it or anything like that. We had shoes on his front but he kept losing them whenever we got all the rain. He has thin hoof walls on the front too so that doesn't help. He's been barefoot for a little over a month and has finally moved pasted being ouchy on them but I'd suggest boots if you plan on riding him on anything with rocks or gravel. He came to us in very poor shape from the kill pen. We rode him a few times when we first got him and he did great. He would ride in a halter and trot beautiful circles. We didn't want to keep riding him while he was underweight so we let him sit up and gain some weight. We got on him a few weeks ago and he didn't want to move forward from the riders command. He would follow someone on the ground without a lead rope or anything but just wouldn't respond to our cues in the saddle. He did some circles for me but that's about it. I have zero history on him so I don't know what he was used for in the past. A tune up would get him going again easily. He's NEVER done anything dangerous. Very sweet boy who loves to be loved on ❤ Bandit also has a lot of personality to boot. He is very curious and likes to think he is a human too lol we left the front door of the barn house open once and he let himself right in 😅
