Rescued hermit crabs

Description

I rescued 2 hermit crabs in Maryland while I was on vacation, they had hundreds locked in a cage full of rainbow gravel and they were all painted. They had no salt water or anything to burrow in, and no food available, and they were free with the purchase of a tiny, overpriced cage that was, according to the seller, “a perfect forever home”. I rescued 2 of them, one of which isn’t painted. The painted one is very large, the biggest hermit crab I’ve seen, and the other is medium size. I have them both in a 10 gallon tank with sand, a hermit crab heater, 2 water dishes and a lid which I put their food on, and sand specifically meant for hermit crabs. I have canned mealworms, calcium dust, nut and fruit treats, a silk plant, and bottles of salt water that they will come with. I cannot keep them myself, I only saved them to serve as a temporary home where they would be loved and cared for until I could find their forever family. They’re both very friendly and love interacting, especially the big one! I would prefer that you have prior experience with hermit crabs but if you haven’t, PLEASE do your research before deciding to bring these beautiful creatures into your home! They depend on you :) Im asking a rehoming fee of $200 just to cover everything I had to buy for them. I hope to hear from you soon!
