Carpenter Assistant

I am looking for an assistant to help me with various residential remodeling projects which includes demolition, carpentry, flooring, dry wall and plastering, installing windows and doors, painting, minor electrical and plumbing, setup and breakdown of all necessary tools and hardware for the job, and an occasional trip to the hardware store. Tools can be provided; if you have your own, even better. Must have your own vehicle, no exceptions. Experience is preferred but not necessary. I have over 30 years of experience in the industry and will always train and teach the right person. Some knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and hardware is a plus but not required. Necessary qualifications: • Dependable: Please be punctual and work when I need you, this is a part-time gig so I’m very flexible. I will try my best to fit you in my schedule for work when I need you. Communication is key. • Solid work ethic: I’m not asking for the ambition of Elon Musk. Just don’t be lazy, do the job and do it right. • Common sense: If you need an explanation, look elsewhere. Workday is typically 8am to 430pm. You will work between 15-25 hours per week or as needed. Some projects are too small for a helper, and some are too big for myself. Please email me with the title of this post in the subject line. Physical Demands: • Physically able to move at least 50 lbs. without assistance. • Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas. • Physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings. • Physically able to stand and to work on hands and knees for long periods of time.
