Take a break from your Zoom meetings and come grab a cup of coffee — with a side of embroidery! This 45-minute bright and tropical embroidery class at the La Coop Coffee House (5505 1st St NW) is perfect for beginners and comes with everything you need to conquer your own embroidery project. In this class, local embroidery artist, Nichole Sorhaindo of The Other Cat, will teach you some embroidery basics and several embroidery stitches to create your own line art embroidery piece. Nichole designed the pattern, and hand-paints each piece of fabric! Each ticket includes a coffee beverage of your choice as well as the materials to walk away with your very own embroidery art. The class will be held outdoors, in the yard at La Coop, weather permitting. If it rains we will move indoors. Masks are required indoors and encouraged outdoors for those who are not vaccinated. Nichole is a Petworth-based embroidery and alcohol ink artist creating embroidery experiences and vibrant art for your home.
