The National Conference On Black Cooperative Agenda is a national conference aimed at reinvigorating Black cooperatives.
In 2021, Black cooperative history is being rewritten with the rebirth of The National Conference on Black Cooperative Agenda. In the 1980's The Poor People's Development Foundation (PPDF), founded this conference with the purpose of bringing together Black cooperatives to build strong cooperative ecosystems across the nation.
In the year of COVID, we have made a conscious decision to convene this National Conference on Black Cooperative Agenda as a demonstration for inspiring another generation of Black cooperators.
This year's conference will explore new economic, cultural and policy paradigms, and examine where past legislative and economic practices have disproportionately failed Black communities. Over the last eighteen months, Black communities have experienced first hand the wrath of racial disparities left by enslavement, Jim Crow laws, and separate but unequal practices. This conference is a Moral and Conscious Call To Mobilize Black governed cooperatives, cooperatives born of new leadership and with visions for strengthening Black people, families and communities.
If you have already registered for the conference, thank you! If not, there is still time to register. The event will be September 27th-29th and you can attend either virtually or in-person in Baltimore. Visit our website to learn more https://ndccnetwork.org/.
