We’re BACK with another edition of #QueensHikeToo! Join Queens Co. on Saturday August 21st for 5th edition of #QueensHikeToo ! Come connect with nature and build community with other like-minded women of color.If you’ve been looking to spice up your fitness routine, why not do it with a group of women who will motivate and hold you accountable to your health and wellness goals! This outing will include a moderate hike at the scenic Blue Hills Reservation and a parlay + picnic at the completion of the hike. (Queens Co. will be providing light refreshments but we encourage you to bring your own as well!) FYI: People may be acting like COVID-19 is gone but we all know it’s NOT so we’ll still be following the previously recommended COVID-19 safety guidelines. By participating in this event, you acknowledge that you have not received a positive diagnosis for or have come into contact with anyone you may suspect has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days. We encourage you to stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms, have recently traveled out of Massachusetts, or been in contact with anyone that has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Q+AsWhy Hiking? Hiking is not only a great way to get an outdoor workout, but it has also been proven to stimulate mental wellness by easing anxiety.What should I wear? Please wear light workout clothes and comfortable shoes + socks. Should I bring anything? Please bring a mask/face covering, water to drink during the hike, bug spray + sunscreen since we will be in the woods, and light refreshments for the picnic. Other suggested items to bring are: a small backpack, sunglasses, a small towel.
