Dogs Helping Heroes is proud to announce that we will be hosting our 4th annual event, “Be at Ease”, at The Mellwood Arts Center
Please join us for food, drink, a raffle drawing, music by “The Vicki Rogers Band” and enjoy a chance to check out local artist and meet some of our AMAZING Hero Teams!
We are dedicated to helping restore lost freedom and peace of mind to wounded Veterans, first responders and their families, by gifting specially trained and certified service dogs.
Our goal for this event is to fund service dogs and build awareness in the community of how important these dogs are for our heroes. Please consider a sponsorship or donation for one of our Hero Teams. Donations will go directly toward training, housing, certification and equipment for new and current service dogs.
Dogs Helping Heroes is a 501 (c) (3) non profit, established in 2013, dedicated to helping restore lost freedom and peace of mind, to wounded veterans, first responders and their families by gifting specially trained and certified service dogs. We rescue dogs, who show the qualities to become service dogs, from local shelters and rescue groups. Basic manners and obedience training is performed by inmate trainers/handlers of prison facilities, while the more complex service training for our dogs is conducted by professional dog trainers. We recognize the importance of matching the right dog with the right hero, based on their abilities and their needs.
