Personalized Scent Experience! Throw your own private candle making party! Hosted by clean, coastal-inspired fragrance company, Malibu Apothecary, guests can either participate in a group or private experience with friends to create their very own custom candle! You can choose your own vessel and scent with complimentary gift wrapping! 5% of the proceeds go to Heal the Bay for coastal conservation. Guests will have the opportunity to create, combine, and choose their favorite scents while learning the basics of fragrance composition. After you have whipped up your new favorite fragrance oil, I will show you the process of how to create a candle. Each guest will get to choose their vessel type whether it is a matte black glass, an iridescent pink jar, or their own provided vessel. Then you will add fragrance with warm wax and stir, pour it into their candle, and wait to cure! While we wait for our candles to cure (~1.5hr), it is time to chat and chill! There will be an assortment of refreshments and light appetizers for guests to enjoy as we teach the differences between clean and toxic fragrances as well as a brief history of the art and science of perfumery. Additionally, guests can also create a personalized label we design on-site for a completely custom candle! Leave home with not only a custom candle with food and friends, but a new knowledge of candle making!
