The 2nd annual Boat-In Movie Night on the Chain O' Lakes is finally here! Grab your popcorn and gear up for a peaceful night on the water! The Boat House Chicago is proud to announce the second annual Boat-In Movie Night on Pistakee Lake located on The Chain O' Lakes! This is a totally free event for the entire boating community to enjoy! Our way of saying thank you for a wonderful summer full of new experiences around every corner. What you can expect: Two feature films airing back-to-back from 8pm-1am! Come on out, grab your popcorn, drop anchor inside the no wake zone, and enjoy quality time with your friends & family! The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here! We cherish each memory on the lake with our friends & family, that's why we're bringing the second annual Boat-In Movie Night to the Chain O' Lakes! We want to help give you and your family lasting memories all summer long! So come on out and let's enjoy a peaceful night on the water, in front of the big screen, watching movies together. FAQs What time should we arrive? The 1st movie will begin around 8:15pm P.M., however, we recommend you allow yourself plenty of time to stop in for snacks and anchor your boat before the movie begins. Should we bring anything specific? 2 anchors to secure the bow and the stern. Do not want to be swinging around while trying to watch the movie. Check the lights on your boat prior to heading over. Additionally, bring a flashlight for navigating between boats and spotting anchor lines (so you do not have to use your docking lights). What if I want to leave and come back? Although we would prefer boats to stay put during the movie, we understand you may need to leave. Please be courteous and careful as you come and go. Can we save a spot? All boat "parking" at the Boat-In Movie Night is first come first serve. You'll be anchoring in a public waterway so do as you please! If you do plan to tie up, we recommend arriving together whenever possible. Do you accept debit or credit cards? This is a free event, so bring your kids, friends, and anyone else you'd like to float and watch with! To continue hosting fun entertainment for our boating community, we are taking donations currently. You will find the donations button on this Eventbrite page. Additionally, we do offer concessions located inside our Dock n' Shop & accept all major CCs. What time does the movie start? Estimated start time is 8:15 P.M. The screen is located outdoors of course so we must wait until it is completely dark before the movie may begin. Movie start time may vary depending on traffic. What if it rains? Fingers crossed on this one! We will plan to host the movie night if it's safe for those attending. Concession stand At The Boat House Chicago, we offer a wide variety of snacks, pizza, beer, liquor, soda, juice, etc. conveniently located at our Dock n' Shop, which can be accessed by our gas dock located on the left-hand side of the marina. We offer many great food items including: -Salerno's Pizza by the Slice -Popcorn -Variety of Candies -Pepsi Products -Bottles of Water, Gatorade, & Energy -Alcoholic Beverages -Dip'n Dots -Glow Bracelets & Glow Necklaces Our Dock n' Shop is open to the public. Stop in and grab your goodies! Bathrooms Our bathrooms are located in a small building near the gas dock with a blue roof. As always, there are also private restrooms available to our slip, drystack, and boat club members. We have a strict and consistent sanitation process for all bathrooms. There will be 2 exterior hand washing stations located near the restrooms and on the gas dock as well. How to listen You'll be able to broadcast the movie audio through the radio on your boat. We will announce the frequency before the movie begins. If you don't want to use your boat stereo, bring a portable stereo or radio to use and tune into the FM station! Parking We are asking that, wherever possible, you please police yourselves when it comes to parking and watch out for anchor lines. The movie screen will be in a Slow No Wake area next to our Marina. There will be signs and staff on hand to help point you in the right direction. Be careful and take care of each other.
