Come and Spend an Evening with Us! Please join us for our fundraising dinner and silent auction benefiting the St. Sava Orthodox Church New Parish Hall Fund. St Sava Orthodox Church was founded in 1988 and serves the communities of Allen, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and beyond. In early 2005, St. Sava relocated to 3801 Avenue K, a former Baptist church. In 2007, the Church purchased the current property, and in December 2009, moved to the current location in Allen, TX. With God's grace and your prayers and generosity, we were able to raise $300,000 in one year to build a beautiful new temple which was completed in December 2018. With God's grace and your prayers and generosity, we were able to raise $50,000 to meet the city of Allen's construction requirements. And, because of God's grace and your prayers and generosity, we are currently in the process of beautifying the temple with a new iconostasis and iconography. In 2020, even during a difficult pandemic year, St. Sava received 27 people into the Church through baptism and chrismation. At the present time, Protodeacon Gregory Conley's catechumen class has approximately 30 people attending weekly. We are growing! Exciting things are happening! St. Sava's parish hall is a double-wide trailer which has served as our church, social hall, office, and classroom for almost 10 years. This past year, our parish hall also served as a food pantry for families in need. The pantry continues to grow and operate and is currently open twice a week; parishioners also bring food to families who are unable to get to us. It is time to build a new parish hall to accommodate our growing parish and our outreach efforts! Presbytera Mirela Tudora has already drawn up an architectural drawing of the building, and Fr.
