Join Stewards of Browns Woods to help remove invasive species and repair trails. Spend your time on the frontline of this continuous battle as we remove garlic mustard, honeysuckle, buckthorn, and Asiatic bittersweet from Brown's Woods Forest Preserve. Our focus for this event will be removing garlic mustard and honeysuckle from the interior of the trail loop between markers 3 and 4. Stewards of Brown's Woods (SBW) is an all-volunteer organization operating under the direction and guidance of the Polk County Conservation Board’s Natural Resources Department. SBW was formed by skilled and dedicated volunteers to help maximize the effectiveness of the resources and to support the mission of the PCCB at Brown’s Woods and beyond.
