It seems companies are putting unemployed @ the bottom of the list

Description

I've been on unemployment for a year now (and no I'm not someone just being lazy living off the govt). I was making close to 90k prior to Covid and I'm having the hardest time getting back into the workforce, into a job that pays me somewhat close to that, willing to even take 55k-65k at this point. I manage to get phone interviews or the 1st zoom interview but after that, I just get ghosted or the typical "thank you for applying but unfortunately....." I have 10 years of customer service/operations/admin/sales/marketing experience and even bilingual in English/Spanish. It's unfortunate people on certain media outlets are generalizing and saying people on unemployment are all lazy and that we're all making more money on unemployment than actually working (um no, not the case for some of us thank you very much). It seems companies are favoring people who been working this whole time so it's annoying watching business owners go on TV to get their 5 mins of fame and bash us people on unemployment. This is the longest I've been unemployed and straight up not having a good time bruh. I have debt and bills that keep stacking up and making like 30k on unemployment is not cutting it.
