GENERAL PRODUCTION LABORER/Machine ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform various general laborer job duties in the shop as needed depending on customer demands for parts. • Routine work could include simple machine operations, shaking parts for removal, tapping, deburring, metal finishing, pemming, general clean up, product rework, etc. • Prepare metal parts for stamping and fabrication. • Load and unload metal parts into baskets/skids. • Perform quality checks using measuring devices. • Account for time and work completed on jobs accurately in computer system. • Utilize safety protocols to safely operate machinery. General Production Laborer REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND SKILLS • Must be at least 18 years of age or older. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Work experience in manufacturing environment is preferred. • Basic math skillsets. • Willingness to learn and grow with the company. • Strong work ethic, very reliable, good attendance record history. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in the warehouse/production floor. The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, dirt/dust, oils, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Safety gear (PPE), such as goggles, gloves, steel toed shoes, and ear protection must be worn on regular basis. Employees will be asked to also wear face masks to protect against COVID-19. General Production Laborer PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform moderate to heavy physical activity such as lifting/carrying a maximum of 30 pounds throughout the day. Employee stands and walks regularly. EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is typically a full-time position. In this role, typically, an individual is required to work a 40-hour week. Overtime hours may be required as needed to meet production/business needs. A typical work week for 1st (Day) shift is: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-11am A typical work week for 3rd (Night) shift is: Monday-Thursday 9pm-7am Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour plus $1 premium
