Our very sweet pet pigeon Reggie flew the coop this evening, and we're hoping someone might be able to help us find him or give us information. We live in the Rogers Park area, off the corner of Fargo and Sheridan avenues.
I know that finding a pigeon in Chicago is like finding a needle in a haystack. However, he's a very friendly, domesticated pigeon who will often land on people's heads or allow people to pick him up. He's dark blue/gray with a white v-shaped marking on his tail and an iridescent purple-green neck, pink toes, and orange eyes. He loves people and might try to listen in on conversations.
We're still very hopeful that he'll come home on his own at some point (that's what pigeons do, right?), but if you see him, please send an email.
