NEW BERLIN, WI — Back-to-school planning has already begun in New Berlin, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the School District of New Berlin. The first day of school for most students in New Berlin is Sept. 1. Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in New Berlin. The school district Board of Education voted 4-3 in May to make masks recommended instead of required for everyone who enters district properties, according to a district statement.
