Gardener An estate on Mercer Island is looking to hire a landscape Gardener to join the team. Who you are: Somebody who enjoys working outdoors and is capable of performing general landscape maintenance. As a member on our team, you will…help execute small scale landscaping operations, maintain grounds and landscape gardens on a private residence by: • Cutting lawns using various sized power mowers. • Trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer. • Operating a gas-powered blower. • Maintaining/planting trees, shrubs, and perennials, hedges, climbing roses, vines and containers. • Grooming paths, removing snow and ice from surrounding buildings and entry gate in winter. • Maintaining the property’s appearance and systems to ensure optimal performance and operational efficiency and safety: Includes trash and leaf removal. • Physical labor and heavy lifting involved. • Weekends required during special events and during water rotation schedule. You will bring this experience and skillsets… • Positive attitude with previous experience working as a landscaper/gardener or as a handyman. • Knowledge around how to plant and maintain ornamental trees, flowers, and shrubs. Basic plant identification a plus. • Knowledge on how to run landscaping equipment (lawnmower, weed eater, Irrigation etc.). • Must possess strong time management skills, ability to work effectively independently as well as a team player. • Being able to lift up to 50lbs with assistance. • Having good interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively respond to requests and questions from managers, supervisors and co-workers.
