Ridwell is a service that makes it easy to reuse and recycle more of your stuff. We identify recyclable and reusable items that the city doesn't collect, pick them up from our customers' doorsteps, and match them with local partners that can use them sustainably. We regularly pick up thin plastics, clothes, batteries, light bulbs, styrofoam, and a featured category that rotates. The featured category is typically an item in demand from a local non-profit. We are resourceful - there is no problem we can't find a solution for - Collaboration and versatility There is no "turf" to protect and our roles are fluid based on our strengths, interests, and company needs Requirements - Must be able to read and follow written or oral instructions - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Must own and be able to use a smartphone and google or apple maps - Ability to be on your feet or on a van route all-day - Ability to communicate effectively digitally over text message and email - High school, GED, or equivalent diploma - Must pass a background and motor vehicle history check if offered the position (2 or fewer accidents in 3 years, No DUI or reckless driving in previous 5 years) - At least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license - No previous experience required – just motivation to provide a great customer experience Shift Details - Full Time (40 hours) - Part Time (20-30 hours) Job Duties Include - Arrive on time to each stop on your route - Follow instructions on our Ridwell fleet app directing you to pick up specific items at each stop - Communicate any discrepancies on pick up with Ridwell driver support - Understand time management and communicate when a route is taking longer than anticipated - Provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers - Load and unload items into and out of the company-owned vans - Use text message and email to communicate with Ridwell driver support and the Ridwell driver manager - Ensure compliance regarding all company policies and procedures - Other duties assigned as necessary by management Benefits of working at Ridwell - Career development: Many of our entry-level employees become leaders in operations and other areas. - Benefits: We offer 100% employer-paid health benefits after 90 days to eligible employees - Reliable hours: We will give you a stable schedule you can count on. - Wages: Starts at $20.00 per hour Candidates must be 21 years or older and be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, and lift up to 49 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
