ANDOVER, MA — If you travel Shawsheen Road regularly, you may want to leave early or choose a different route for the next few weeks. As of Wednesday, it will remain closed Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for water main repairs Traffic on the West Parish end of Shawsheen Road will be detoured down Lowell Street and then south on Route 28. Traffic coming up Shawsheen Road from Essex Street will be detoured down Steven's Street and then north on Route 28. The work is expected to take two weeks, police said. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and drive carefully.
