ROUND ROCK, TX — The 9th annual Night Rider Family Bike Ride will make its return in Round Rock in August, according to the city's parks and recreation department. The annual event will kick off at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Rabb House on 151 N A.W. Grimes Boulevard. The six mile course will start and finish at the location next to the Play for All Park and will utilize the Brushy Creek Trail system. For safety and per event rules, bike helmets, a front bicycle light and rear reflector or bicycle light are required. Single bicycles, single bicycle with child in tow and tandem bicycles will be allowed on the course. Bicycles with training wheels and tricycles will not be allowed. Due to the safety of the cyclists and your family pet, dogs will not be allowed. Authorities said it will be $10 per rider for early registration, which ends at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. On the day of the event, it will be $15 per rider. Late registration and packet pick up will begin Saturday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. with bike riders taking off at dark. Entertainment is planned for before and after the ride at the Rabb House, officials said. Register online or over the phone by calling 512-218-5540 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
