FAIRFAX, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a motorist who tossed a backpack from his vehicle containing weapons and drugs amid a pursuit early Tuesday morning, the Fairfax Police Department said. Officers at around 1 a.m. tried to pull over the motorist who was driving a white BMW sedan, but the driver failed to yield and sped away westbound on Sir Francisco Drake Boulevard, police said. Officers found backpack the backpack near White's Hill according to police. The backpack contained a fully loaded semi-automatic handgun with a high-capacity magazine inserted along with suspected methamphetamine, zip ties, duct tape and a mask, police said.
