Description
PLAINFIELD, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Plainfield, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202.
The first day of school for most students in Plainfield is Aug. 18.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Plainfield.
This year, students in District 202 will return full time to school in the fall. Remote learning will only be offered to students in quarantine and those exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19. Currently, masks are optional for students and staff in District 202, though district officials said Wednesday that the policy is under review given updated guidance from the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
