Description

CONCORD, NH — A woman from Dover was arrested on Wednesday accused of wrong-way drunken driving on Interstate 93 in Concord. A New Hampshire State Police trooper, who was working a construction detail on the highway, was monitoring traffic when he spotted a car driving north on the southbound Exit 13 off-ramp. The driver was "approaching the southbound travel lanes," according to Sgt. Vincent Grieco of Troop D. "(The) sergeant quickly positioned his police vehicle across the off-ramp blocking the approaching vehicle from entering the travel lanes of the Interstate," he added. The trooper spoke with the driver, Sarah J. Davis, 46, of Dover, and after an investigation, arrested her on driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated-subsequent, and operating after suspension charges. At the state police barracks, Grieco accused Davis of refusing all requested testing. She was processed and released on personal recognizance bail and is due in Concord District Court for arraignment at a future date.
