Elmhurst Woman Faces Domestic Battery Charge: Police

ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst woman is accused of striking a man in a domestic disturbance, police said. Violet Dodson, 36, was arrested on a domestic battery charge and taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said. The incident was reported about 8 a.m. Wednesday in a house in the 200 block of Fair Avenue. According to a police report, Dodson punched the man and struck him in the back of the head with an object during an argument. Officer saw injuries on the man's head and the left side of his face, police said.
