CULVER CITY, CA — Los Angeles police officers are investigating a gang-related shooting death Wednesday night in Culver City. The shooting happened about 10:40 p.m. at the Mar Vista Gardens housing project, near the 5000 block of Marionwood Drive, a Los Angeles police dispatcher told Patch. The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was found shot at the apartment, police said. He was taken to a hospital where he died as a result of his gunshot wound. A suspect was seen driving away from the area in a vehicle. No suspect or vehicle descriptions were immediately available. Officials had blocked off traffic in the area early Thursday during an investigation, Lt. Ensley of the Pacific Division reported.
