HOOVER, AL — The Hoover Police Department is seeking the identity of a man they say stole merchandise from Home Depot July 9. Police posted security photos of the man on social media Wednesday. Hoover police said the items stolen — an air conditioning unit and a Sawzall — are valued at more than $1,000. "The suspect got into a gray Toyota Tacoma (unknown tag) and fled the scene," Hoover police said in a statement. "It is possible that this person has ties to the Walker County area."
