Atlanta Police Department: Atlanta Spa Shooting Suspect Officially In Custody On APD Warrants

Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/29/2021 Yesterday morning (7-28-2021), spa shooting suspect Robert Aaron Long was transferred to the Fulton County Jail on Atlanta Police Department warrants for felony murder. We all know Long has been in custody for some time, but this marks an important and meaningful step in our investigation. With Long now in custody on our warrants, our case can be updated to show "cleared by arrest".     This investigation has been an important one for our investigators. The warrants were issued and Mr. Long was in the custody of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, but until he was taken into custody on our warrants and brought to the Fulton County Jail, our investigators could not update the case to show an arrest had been made. While it is a procedural update, it is a significant one to us. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims' families and friends who had their loved ones taken from them in such a senseless and untimely manner.
