Hi Dog Lovers! We need your help today! Ace of Hearts is a Non-Profit Dog Rescue based in Los Angeles that saves dogs from the shelters, giving them a new chance at life! We need loving Fosters to provide temporary homes for rescued dogs while we seek their "furever" homes. Since we rescue from shelters, some dogs may be traumatized so we need people who will make them feel secure, comfortable and confident. It's such an amazing feeling when these shy & fearful dogs gain your trust. And it's just as gratifying to receive unconditional love from confident dogs. You provide loving care & updates on their personalities and we'll provide everything else (a bed, food, treats, toys, supplies & vet care). WE NEED A FOSTER FOR OUR SWEET SENIOR GIRL, LOVEY. Unfortunately, Lovey's owner is no longer able to continue to caring for her as he is heading back to work and does not have the means to give Lovey the care she needs. Lovey is a sweet older American bulldog mix. She loves people and is quite affectionate. She does not do well with other dogs or cats and needs to be the only animal in the home. She has some weakness in her back legs, making it difficult to walk sometimes and needs to be in a home with no stairs. She moves great with the assisted help of her lifting harness! :) We need a loving foster who is home most of the time, can give Lovey lots of care, and can assist with getting her to vet appointments as needed (since she is an older girl). We'd ideally love a long-term or hospice foster for Lovey so she doesn't have to go through the stress of moving around too much! If you, or ANYONE you know, might be available to help this sweet girl, please contact us immediately! Stipends for fostering available if you're unable to do it as a volunteer. We pay $300/month for dog friendly dogs and $400/month for dogs that prefer to be the one and only. Being accepted into our foster program is an extremely rewarding experience - you get to help rehabilitate dogs that were left to die at the shelter, giving them a second chance to be adopted. Our fosters are true heroes! What we need from you: -To be 21+ (if under 21, then to have parent approval) -To foster until the dog is adopted - or at least 2-4 weeks if you can't make that commitment. -To have reliable transportation and be able to bring them to our adoption event in West Hollywood once a month and to a vet of our choice. -To be comfortable with large breeds! We're a bully breed rescue and most of our pups weigh 50-90 pounds.
