Hello, and thank you for your interest in A Step Ahead. Here at A Step Ahead it is literally our job to play. We invite you and your family to join us in our licensed family home childcare. We currently have availability for one children 12 months and walking or older (M-Th days) or 5 days a week 2+ and self toileting. We also have part-time care M/W/Th and drop in care available as needed. A little information on us: At A Step Ahead we are a Family Child Care. This means we are small and operate under lower ratios then centers, as we are based in a home. Credentials of staff include Bachelors degrees, multiple early learning Certifications, and on going training. We are prepared and able to facilitate distance learning for the 21-22 school year. This is a partnership we look forward to creating with families, and teachers. We are a Reggio inspired program. We believe children learn in relation to meaningful interactions and experiences. Child learning is driven through their interests (play). Teachers observe children and extend learning through developmentally appropriated goals, invitations to play, provocations, and units of study. Our curriculum can also be very emergent, and based around daily experiences. This means we move, get messy, and make some mistakes. Learning is shared through documentation displayed in our space, SeeSaw App, developmental screenings, and TS Gold assessments. As part of our values at A Step Ahead we strive to minimize our environmental impact. As part of our program we contract with Tidee-Didee to provide cloth diapers as part of program. We also partner with the USDA food program and provide 90% organic foods for kids. We participate in Early Achievers QRIS program. Our hours are Monday - Friday 6:30-5:30.
