female cat free to good home

I have a 1-2 year old cat free to good home. She is beautiful and loving BUT likes to poop and pee anywhere. I tried looking it up with no luck and im not sure exactly on how to "train" cats. Shes friendly but not too playful. Awesome with humans and okay with other animals. mostly likes to sleep. i work too much to be finding "surprises" all over my RENTED living space. She has fleas at the moment but is getting treatment on it.
